In the modern age of technology there is no good reason why you can’t be making money around the clock. There are so many ways that you can make money online and start a simple side business for your spare time. One of the things that holds us back to most in not quite understanding how to make money online. I remember the struggle, and all of the research I had to do in order to learn to make money online, so I have put together a list of five easy ways that you can make money and start an online business to help fast track you to success and save you some time!

Are you an expert in something? Maybe you’re an expert in business, fitness or even organisation. You can offer up your knowledge by starting a consultation or coaching business.

Simply charge your customers and clients per session, and let them know what they will get in return. Is it the confidence to start their own business? A detailed nutrition plan and support on the right exercises?

Any knowledge you have to offer can be packaged up and offered out to the market once you find your ideal client.

Virtual Assistance

If you’re a customer service whiz or great with administrative tasks, then perhaps a virtual assistance position would be right for you. You can simply advertise on Fiverr or Facebook and put together some nicely priced packages for some services you offer.

It could be data entry, screening phone calls or responding to client services. There are a lot of business owners out there who need a helping set of hands but don’t have their own office. Becoming a virtual assistant is easy as long as you offer out skills you’re confident with.

Sell on Etsy, Creative Market, eBay or RedBubble

Having an artistic streak is really a talent, and you can sell your handmade items on platforms like Etsy, Creative Market, eBay or RedBubble. Whether its art, clothes, digital products, web design or anything you’ve created yourself, these platforms offer a great niche market looking for everything you’ve got to offer.

Sign up is easy and selling is fun!

Affiliate Marketing

If you have a blog or a Pinterest account, signing up with different programs to become an affiliate marketer is a great way to make some money online. Sign up to some affiliate programs like Like to Know, Shop Style or ShareaSale and get your own personalised link.

Recommend products on your social media accounts or blog and when people use your link to purchase, you can make a percentage of the sale! A simple way to earn money by sharing what you love.

Affiliate marketing is probably one of the easiest ways to make money online, because there is an affiliate program for nearly every niche so you’re bound to be able to promote something you actually love and that your audience will buy.

So there are four simple ways to make money online. Do you have any other ideas? Post them below!

When it comes to owning a business, extra income is always the aim of the game. This can be a daunting challenge, especially if you’re a service based entrepreneur and can only stretch yourself so thin when it comes to creating things for clients and booking out. Aside from raising your prices, how can you make more money in a service based business? I’m a big fan of tripwires, and this is a great way to market your content such as eBooks, courses, products and services, as well as a fun way to get your affiliate links clicked.

If you’re not sure on how to create or use a tripwire, I’m here to teach you!

Creating a Tripwire

A tripwire is a low-cost offer to get your audience out of ‘freebie’ mode and into a ‘paying customer’ mindset. Basically, if you’ve got an email list filled up with warm leads from all of your great freebies, you’ll need to start convincing them to buy from you instead of opening emails in hopes for the next freebie.

You do this with a low-cost offer. Say, a section of your eBook for only $7. Then, once they’ve bought this, give them a limited time offer that costs a little more, say 30% off the entire eBook for the next 24 hours only – as a thank you for purchasing the low-cost offer. How do you do this?

1.     A lead magnet

You’ll need a lead magnet to get your audience subscribed to your emails. Check out my blog on creating an e-course with MailerLite if you’re looking for some inspiration! This lead magnet is how you’ll bring in an audience that likes your products and relates to your niche.

2.     Create a landing page for your offer

A landing page from bluchic.com is a beautiful and inviting design that’s super easy, even for new bloggers. It’s already set out and all you really need to do is add your own content! With your BluChic landing page, you can direct your lead magnet audience there to buy your low-cost offer.

3.     Sell!

Once they’ve subscribed to your list with your lead magnet, visited your beautiful landing page and purchased your low-cost offer, it’s time to send the email that contains your core product. Do this with an automated email that’s triggered by a purchase, maybe two hours later. If they open your email and don’t purchase, trigger another one reminding them that time is running out to cash in on the discount!

This landing page will work for you, forever. Keep making income in the background while you work on your services and watch the extra income roll in.

In the world of business, sales funnel can sound like a scary term. I’m here to tell you that it’s not all that complicated, and while a funnel can be something complex with a lot of steps and amazing graphics and tripwires if you want it to be, a successful sales funnel simply comprises of offering something of value to your customer or client – such as a freebie or a sale – in return for something valuable back – such as their email address.

There are many ways you can do this, including creating a freebie and locking it behind an email field. Today, I want to talk about creating a free course with MailerLite and using it to gain subscribers that turn into fans, which turn into paying customers.

Why create a free course for your audience?

A free e-course does a number of things for your followers. Once you get into the mindset of your target audience, you can begin to identify their needs. If your followers need to learn how to bake a cake and you are able to teach them that skill, they’ll want to learn it from you. Everyone gets excited about the ability to learn something they really want to do. The fact that it’s free just makes it even better, and some people might even sign up to your course out of pure excitement and never actually take it – but that doesn’t matter, because you’ve got the golden ticket, their email address.

The second thing that a free course provides for you and your business is authority. If you are so skilled at a certain thing – like baking cakes – that you are able to teach it, then it becomes clear to your audience that you are an expert. If they learn things from you, it demonstrates that you know a bit more about the topic than they do. So, once they’ve taken their course and they’re thinking “wow, this was really great” and they want to move onto higher tier products within the same niche, they’re more likely to turn to you for their paid products.

How to create a free course in MailerLite!

I use MailerLite for creating my courses for a number of reasons. Most importantly, I believe that MailerLite is the best email marketing software available – so flexible with gorgeous design options and totally FREE up to 1000 subscribers. Here are the steps to take to create your course in MailerLite.

Step One: Create a List

Create a new list for people to sign up to, so that you know they’re here for the course. It will also help your automation so that you’re not bombarding older subscribers with a course they didn’t sign up for, and people who have already taken the course won’t get it again.

Step Two: Create Your Content

Create the content for your course in something like Microsoft Word of Docs. This way, you will have all of your spelling and proofing done by the automated systems, and it’s easy to go back and check again.

Step Three: Create the Automation

Go to “Automation” > Click on “Create a new workflow” > Select the trigger and the group > Click “Save”.
Name your group, something simple like “email course” so you can remember what the list is for. Only you will see this. There is a section named ‘trigger’. A trigger is what sets your course off to be sent. Set your trigger to “when subscriber joins a group” so that all new subscribers will get your automation work flow.

Paste your content into your emails and design away!

EMAIL: This is how you add a new email to your course.

DELAY: This is how you choose the timing between your emails. A new worksheet every day? Set your delay to 24 hours. A new worksheet once a week? Set your delay to weekly.

It really is as simple as that! Now go get creating, boss chick!

Blogging is a popular hobby these days, especially with so many easy to use platforms and ways to monetise a blog. With a lot of bloggers turning their website into a profit-generating business from the comfort of their own home, it’s not hard to see why everyone is so interested in the career path.

One thing that a lot of people struggle with is knowing how to actually start a blog. Which websites to use to start a blog, what to blog about, and even how to make money with a blog. Luckily for you, I have developed this guide to show you the exact steps it takes to get your blog up and running (and I’ve even thrown in some handy discounts and links to make sure you’re off to the best start possible).

So, let’s dig in!

How to choose and buy a domain name for your blog

Choosing a domain name is the first step to starting a blog. It is a bit like a business name, what do you want to be known as? A lot of successful bloggers use their own name, or include some wording from their niche. For SEO purposes, it is best to include what your blog is about in the domain name. So if you are a food blogger, you could have food, recipes, or eats in your title.
Choosing a catchy, memorable domain name is very important. It is your branding for your blog. Once you’ve selected a name, you can check availability when you go to purchase it from any reputable domain name seller. I like namecheap for low prices, and GoDaddy for good service.

What is blog hosting?

Blog hosting, or website hosting, is similar to renting out a building for your store – only you’re renting a piece of the internet to place your blog on. When you get a host, you’ve got your own little slice of the internet to build your beautiful blog on. Once it’s connected to your domain name, that’s your address!

How to choose a blog host

There are many blog hosts available out there, so when it comes to choosing the right website hosting it might feel like an overwhelming decision. I think the top considerations to take in are price, bandwidth, control panel capabilities and inclusions such as email addresses or WordPress one click install.

One of the most highly recommended hosts for starting a WordPress blog is Bluehost. If you use my link to purchase this hosting, I will make a commission – that’s because I’m an affiliate, and while some people might think that’s a dirty word it simply means I’ve had such a great experience with their hosting and products that I’m willing to put my name on the line to promote them. I’m so confident you’ll love them, that you’ll even consider becoming an affiliate yourself (this might be your first step towards monetizing your blog!)

Bluehost comes with great traffic allowances and allows you to easily add email hosting. To sweeten the deal, if you choose to host with Bluehost and purchase through my affiliate link I’ll have a special gift for you! When you purchase your web hosting via my link, send me your receipt, and I will sent you one of logo from my shop FOR FREE! So now, you’ve got your hosting and your blog logo sorted.

Setting up WordPress

Setting up WordPress is super easy, if you have a hosting option like Bluehost they do the hard work for you. All you really have to do is choose a beautiful theme and start posting great content!
Wordpress Themes

Choosing a suitable and eye-catching WordPress theme while still having a readable and inviting website is one of the most important factors to a successful blog. A visually pleasing site loaded with great content is essential to getting readers to stay on your website and boost your SEO. Google loves websites where visitors click through as many pages as possible.

There are thousands (literally) of options out there for WordPress themes, and plugins like Divi and Elementor help to build websites with these fundamental blocks. How do you choose a theme? How do you know if a paid theme is right for you? Paid themes give you more flexibility in customisation and content creation. They also have a lot more talent behind them, for example, the BluChic WordPress themes. Again, this is an affiliate link so one I really believe in and use on my own site.

BluChic are one of the most popular WordPress theme developers around and are even backed by WordPress themselves. They have excellent testimonials, customer service and a great affiliate program so if you decide you love it as much as I do then you’ll have another shot at monetizing your blog.

So, there’s the basics to setting up a blog. Ready to move forward? Check out the rest of my articles on tips for how to make money with your blog!

I’ve got a surprise for you! You can also create a newsletter on a different platform - Mailerlite. It will be easy as pie, so come right in!

Mailerlite is free up to 1,000 subscribers. You can use it to create your mailing list, sign-up form and to make campaigns very intuitively. On top of that, Mailerlite is a great, free way to send autoresponders – which are automated messages, mailing courses or other e-mails you don’t want to have to worry about every single time.

But first things first. You need to set up an account on Mailerlite.com

Zakładanie konta.jpg

Remember to have your account verified, check your inbox and click the activating link. Withing the next few hours and days Mailerlite will be sending you a lot of tips on using this software.

Once you take care of owning an account and fill out all the information, you will see the Welcome and the Home Page.

Create Campaigns is creating a mailing campaign, then Add Subscribers is adding subscribers (Mailerlite has automatically created your first mailing list)  and Explore integrations means synchronizing Mailerlite with your accounts (like on Wordpress or Facebook).

In the Integrations tab, pick Wordpress. Follow the instructions – which means first you need to download the Mailerlite plugin and add it to your blog – send it to the server, install and activate.

It will then become visible to your left in Wordpress, where you can choose either Settings, where you configure the settings, or Signup forms, which is about sign-up forms.

You see Signup forms? Choose it, babe.

Wpisz klucz API.jpg

Now you need the API key. You will find it on Mailerlite.

Go back to Integrations and scroll the Wordpress page all the way. Right at the bottom you will find your key, which you need to copy and paste in Wordpress.

Gdzie jest klucz API.jpg

Once you have the key in the plugin, you will be displayed an option to add a sign-up form. You have two options to choose from.

Teraz dodaj formularz.jpg

The sign-up form you created in Mailerlite (we’re not there yet) or a regular form that you will create in a moment.

Choose the first option. And… here we go!

Fill out all the information, make sure it’s in English. Then save your work.

Zapisz formularz #1.jpg

Now, to make your form visible to your Readers, you need to go to your Widgets. Find Mailerlite there and add it to the Sidebar.

Dodaj Mailerlite do Widgetów.jpg

Your form is now ready and will be displayed in the blog’s side bar. It works for me, how about you?

Now go back to Mailerlite, we’ve got a lot left to discuss.

Once you log in, everything will be neatly taken care of and available on the home page. That’s your Dashboard. Here you will find all the recent and most needed information – like the number of subscribers for example.

Campaigns will invite you to create your first campaign.

Utwórz kampanię.jpg

In the Subscribers tab you will find information on people who signed up for your mailing list. Your own email address will be listed as the first.

In the next tab, Webform, you can create super cool sign-up forms - popup and others. Hop right in.

Try to create your first Webform.

You have 3 options to choose from. Personally, I started with the first one - Popup – which is a popup window that allows you to sign up for a newsletter.

Typy webforms.jpg

New webforms.jpg

Give name to your form and continue.

Szablony pop upów.jpg

You have 3 Popup templates to choose from that you can later customize any way you want.

Once you make changes to your Popup, go to the settings. Here you can do things like specify after how many seconds the popup shows up and how often to display it to the same user.

Ustawienia pop up.jpg

To set up a Popup on your website, you need to copy its code, go back to Wordpress and hop into the template Editor. Find the theme footer (footer.php) and paste in the code before <body> at the end.

Wklej kod popup do edytor.jpg

Once you go back to Webform on Mailerlite, remember that you can also create a sign-up form there in form of a button and a typical form.

Go into Campaigns and click Create your first Email.

Utwórz kampanię.jpg

You can choose the type of campaign – personally, I picked the “most normal” one, which is Regular Campaign. You also have a few more to choose from – they’re visible in the bar next to the first one, see?

But let’s focus on the first type for now. First you need to name your campaign, pick the topic – which is the subject of the e-mail send to your subscribers, and some other information.
tworzenie kampaniii mailerlite.jpg

Then all you have to do (by which I mean a lot!) is choose the message template. You can choose out of basic forms or ready-made templates that you can modify any way you want.

I pick Basic and move on. robienie kampanii 1.jpg

Now it’s time for DESING iCONTENT, which is the entire content of your message and how it looks. This is where I sadly can’t help you – that’s something entirely up to you.

robienie kampani content.jpg

Once you decide you’re done, click Done Editing. Now all you have to do is choose the time of sending your newsletter – you can do it right away or set a specific date and hour.

wysyłanie kampanii.jpg

Alright, we have that taken care of. You know the theory now, so it’s time to get to work. Remember that you can only learn through practice – sometimes the trial and error method works great.

Having my fingers crossed for you - and waiting for your first newsletter.
